These bezels have shallow walls, so if you will be using them to contain images it would be best to use a thin layer of resin or dimensional glue. Or, if you choose—a waterproof sealant could be used. Would also be great for embedding objects such as dried flowers, shells, or beads and stones.

These items are hand-cast and aged by hand, so please expect slight variances in the ‘aged finish’ as well as the distress markings that a design may have.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR PEWTER PIECES:
These instructions are for our Polished pieces only. The "darker aged" finish that we offer does not need cleaning. There is a light film from our polishing compound on our polished pieces to keep them shiny for as long as possible, but if your pewter ever tarnishes, follow these instructions: To clean pewter, use a dish of hot water and some mild dishwashing soap, then use a sponge to wipe down the surface; and rinse. Doing so eliminates a good amount of dirt and tarnish. An all-purpose metal polish can then be used for bringing back a high shine to your pewter.
